First of all, hello! And welcome to my blog.

As you might have noticed from the title tag already, this is a blog about World of Warcraft, specifically dedicated to a much debated subject: Paladin tanking.

A few words about me

I want to make it clear from the start: this is my first character in World of Warcraft. Don’t expect to read here some groundbreaking discoveries about Protection Paladins. All you will find here are purely my gaming experiences as a Paladin tank. And some occasional rants about it.

I’m casually playing on [EU]Karazhan. What do I mean by casual? About 3 or 4 hours a day (sometimes even more) and 2 or 3 nights/week of raiding.

I started playing WoW on 28.04.2007 when I got a Ten Day Guest Pass from my brother. He was (and still is) playing horde on the same server but I didn’t want to chose same sides (as I hate horde), so I was facing a hard task at choosing what race/class to play as alliance.

As an important side note, before engaging into WoW, I played EVE for a few months but I got bored with it. Years ago I played Diablo, which led me to my decision: Human Paladin (same as in Diablo).

Why Paladin? It’s simple. First, because I played Diablo as a Paladin. Second, because I liked the idea that I was going to be a strong melee class and at the same time have offensive spells and heals.

Why Human? While browsing what races can play Paladin, I realized I had only two choices (well, there are three, but I didn’t have The Burning Crusade back then): Human or Dwarf. I didn’t like the small size of dwarfs so I obviously chose humans. Looking back and remembering, I didn’t even look at the racial attributes, I just chose human. And I didn’t even customize my character’s looks.

Think that’s it for this short introduction. Next to follow is a description of My evolution as a World of Warcraft player.
