A little bit of sharing

And some updates. Let’s keep things simple:

As I was mentioning earlier, I had a lolretri moment for a few days. I’m over it now mainly because a) they nerfed them; 2) they nerfed them so I can’t 2-shot people anymore in my crap gear; c) they nerfed them to the ground baby! All things considered, being Retri was fun and I’m sure that if I had gathered over time more than tanking and healing gear I would have stayed this way for a longer time. Hell, now I’m even thinking about DPS-ing at level 80!
Being a tank for such a long time and being used to kill stuff very slowly, I now experienced the thrill of mindless hack-and-slash. It was a very good and interesting change, one that I hope I’ll be able to experience again sometimes at level 80;
Retri made dailies fun again (it took me slightly above 1 hour to do all the SSO ones);
Speaking of mindless things, I ran a few PuGs on my Shadow Priest. I did Kara (and wiped at Chess – yes, that’s right, we wiped on Chess) and Gruul. Two Priest tokens dropped and I rolled a 14. Better luck next time I guess;

As you might know, I have a Shadow Priest I love to PvP with. Things are going slow at the moment for him:

Lately I didn’t have much time to raid so I took the opportunity to farm honor/marks. I’m now the proud owner of 100 marks of each BG and around 50k honor. Hopelly this will give me a slight advantage at level 80 (fingers crossed);
Since the patch hit I stopped doing arena. Two nights before me and my Rogue partner decided to play our regular 10 games and things went really bad. We we’re sitting at around 1600 rating and we we’re going to push for 1650 for rings. But the shit hit the fan and we went down to 1550. I was very disappointed because this meant losing my Challenger title;
I resumed Arena yesterday and went 6-4. I’ll get enough points to buy me the Vengeful head and I guess that’s it until level 80 *sad face*;

Some interesting observations regarding Shadow Priest PvP after the patch:

Our survivability is much better;
I didn’t have mana issues before (I know, most did), now I find myself OOM half-way in the fight;
Even if we last longer, if focused we still die very fast. I guess that’s the curse of wearing cloth;
I’m at 499 Resilience and 12k self-buffed. Retri/Hunter raped me in 3 seconds (yep, I didn’t LoS the Hunter so you could blame this one on me);
Rogues are easier to defeat. Good rogues still stunlock us to death tho;
If you see an Arcane or Frost Mage, just run away. They are very hard to defeat;
Contrary to popular belief, Retri is easy. Just kite and DoT until he wasted all his stuns. DPS a bit then kite some more. Until he’s dead;

To pass time, I also started leveling my hunter again. He’s level 53 now and owns a Gorilladin, God’s best creation;
If leveling a hunter was easy before, now it’s even more easieri. I got Steady Shot at level 50, Aspect of the Viper get’s me back to full mana in 15 seconds. But what is really ridiculous is the new AoE ability, as folows:
1) Get a Gorilla;
2) Gather 3-4 mobs;
3) Volley;
4) ??????
5) Proffit;
I didn’t pre-order Wrath of the Lich King and probably won’t buy it right away. I’ll wait a bit just to have a clear way while leveling. I just can’t imagine all the mess and trouble people will have while questing because it’s gonna be really crowded. I’m trying to avoid that;
