2.4 Patch Notes updated — love for the Protection Paladins



I don’t read the patch notes often enough, I real­ize that, so the fol­low­ing might not be new to you:

(Added 3/07) Avenger’s Shield: This abil­ity will no longer jump to sec­ondary tar­gets which are under the effect of crowd-control spells that break on tak­ing dam­age. i.e. Poly­morph, Sap, etc.*

How epic is that?! I can’t tell you how often I broke CC with AS, just because the Mage would sheep before my cast. Not to men­tion that I had to be VERY care­ful when a group of mobs had a Sap in place. But oppress me no longer, I can cast to my willing!

Another (old, but good) patch note states the following:

Turn Undead (Rank 3): This spell has been reworked and has been renamed to “Turn Evil”. It will now work on Demons in addi­tion to Undead. Turn Evil is sub­ject to dimin­ish­ing returns, and lasts 10 sec­onds in PvP.

Finally Pal­adins have a mean of get­ting rid of pesky trou­ble­mak­ers in Arenas.

Also, another inter­est­ing fea­ture is related to JCers:

A new jew­el­craft­ing recipe has been added to trans­form many green qual­ity gems into a sin­gle ran­dom blue qual­ity gem. This recipe is avail­able from grand­mas­ter jew­el­craft­ing trainers.

Guess is time to stack up on those green gems!
