PTR!">Holy mother of patch notes, 2.4 is on the PTR!



Sorry for being so excited, but I just saw on mmo-champion.com this thread where, besides the new features/nerfs/drama the new patch will bring, some of the new drops/reputation loot it will bring. The list might not be entirely accu­rate but the guys there weren’t wrong before so I trust them.

I’m just going to cover that which inter­ests me like plate items, JC designs and Enchant­ing recipes. For the whole thingy, go to the link pro­vided above.

One thing I noticed right away is that they put Tank­ing items for Pal­adins. With INT this time! I mean, why put such a won­der­ful item like Chest­guard of the Stoic Guardian and not give it INT? Sure, it’s still imba, but get­ting the badge rewards dropped my mana pool to ~5k which is sort of bad for the aver­age grinding/questing Pro­tec­tion Paladin.

Also, 2.4 brings us a new fac­tion: Shat­tered Sun Offen­sive. The rewards, below. They look yummy, espe­cially the meta gems designs and the enchant­ing for­mula. *big grin*

Speak­ing of Jew­el­craft­ing, some new gems are intro­duced. Appar­ently spell haste will play a big role in the future. All that remains is to see where/which mobs drop them.

Per­son­ally, I’m very excited about patch 2.4. Why? Because:

• new zone;
• two new instances, a 5-man and a 25-man;
• more daily quests and limit increased to 25;
• pas­sage from Shat­trath directly to Cav­erns of Time;
• char­ac­ters will now retain tal­ented spell ranks so when they retal­ent they do not have to relearn the spells from trainers;
• play­ers will now be able to pur­chase level 70 Supe­rior qual­ity PvP items from rep­u­ta­tion ven­dors — this is cool, I always wanted to try out Ret­ri­bu­tion, but was kind of lazy to farm the Bat­tle­ground for honor;

Oh well, hope 2.4 because avail­able soon also on the live servers. Until then, enjoy your game!
