Motivation: Why blog?

That’s a really good question. Why do it when out on the Internet there are so many great blogs already about World of Warcraft and tanking?

I’ll give you three reasons why I started blogging and what makes me continue to do so:

  1. I’m fascinated by the community around an online game. I find it astonishing that millions and millions of people log in everyday and interact with each other, bonding and making friendships with someone they never met and probably never will. WoW is more than a simple game and I want to contribute to this phenomenon. I like to think I have something to say.
  2. I like to write even tho sometimes (OK, most of the times) I fail at it. I like to share my ideas and I like to discuss them with lots of people. And if, by doing so, maybe I help someone, the better.
  3. My gaming experience (although a short one) led me to believe that Paladin tanks are (still) being looked down upon the community. I want to do my part in changing that and make people understand that Protection Paladins are just as viable as any other tanks available in WoW.

That’s why I blog. If you do it also, why drives you to do it? I would like to hear some of your opinions on this matter.
