Wel­come to Part II of my “Use­ful pro­fes­sions for a Pro­tec­tion Pal­adin” series. Today we open with: Jewelcrafting.

Jew­el­craft­ing pro’s:

• man­aged well, it can bring a nice profit.
• cheaper to craft the gems than to buy them.
• unique-equiped gems that can make the dif­fer­ence: Don Julio’s Hear, Facet of Eter­nity, Falling Star.
• items/gems with Defense Rat­ing: Fig­urine — Dawn­stone Crab, Endur­ing Tal­a­site, Tena­cious Earth­storm Dia­mond, Thick Dawn­stone.
• items/gems with Sta­mina: Glow­ing Night­s­eye, Pow­er­ful Earth­storm Dia­mond, !!! Solid Star of Elune !!!

Jew­el­craft­ing con’s:

• hard and expen­sive to level.
• you have to be lucky for some of the designs to drop or buy them off AH (not cheap!).
• be pre­pared to grind for rep­u­ta­tion with dif­fer­ent fac­tions to be able to get designs.
